Teaching the industry about NPD roles and responsibilities
Thursday, Nov 17, 2016
The Norwegian Petroleum Directorate is organising courses for oil company staff who want to learn more about the authorities’ roles and responsibilities in the petroleum industry.
The first course will take place in the NPD offices in Stavanger on 13 December. That course will be in Norwegian, but a course in English is being planned for next year. More information on time and place will appear on the NPD website.
“The NPD has regular contact with the industry, for instance in licence committees. We would like to help those working in the companies to learn more about our roles and responsibilities, and not least, what we expect from them,” says Inger Lise Strømme, director data management and organisation.
“The course is free of charge and open for everyone, but it is probably most relevant for oil company staff who work with production licences in the exploration, development and operations phases,” says Strømme.
